A perfect day
a perfect sky
came into play
the clouds were shy
to make more room
for sun to shine
on bride and groom
this day sublime;
no saccharine vows
nor overstated
yet so considerate,
no make believe
Cinderella fantasies
but vows of faith
and trust in life
acceptance, tolerance
mass of romance
and making room
so they can dance
to the cadence
the rhythm
of their souls
as both their hearts
beat to the pulse
of their long life
together.
