A little bit about moi:
I am a mom, a nana, a sister, a woman, a friend, a human beingβ¦a youth counsellor, Family Life Educator.
I have been working in the helping profession for over 25 years and volunteered in various capacities from youths to seniors.
Tournesol is my nom de plume for haiku and other Japanese form poetry here at Tournesoldansunjardin https://cheryllynnroberts.wordpress.com I hope you enjoy reading through my daily waka.
I also have another blog "Stop the Stigma" where I may stand on my soapbox now and then and hope it will become a place to drop in and share or comment on issues important to you. In that vein this could be a great way to learn from each other.

I hate scraping and defrosting, but waiting for the bus is much worse. π

We used to plug the car an hour before starting it and I would start the car while blow drying my hair…so by the time I got out to scrape, the ice was sliding off:)

That’s a pretty smart approach — but if I tried that in my old house, I’d blow a fuse. π

We had 2 days of snow but it turned to freezing rain. I was lucky only bleeps in Hydro Sunday but over 150,000 residents in Quebec had no hydro for a long time. Walking is treacherous unless you have studs on your boot…hence the photos of ice you have seen.
