A little bit about moi:
I am a mom, a nana, a sister, a woman, a friend, a human being…a youth counsellor, Family Life Educator.
I have been working in the helping profession for over 25 years and volunteered in various capacities from youths to seniors.
Tournesol is my nom de plume for haiku and other Japanese form poetry here at Tournesoldansunjardin https://cheryllynnroberts.wordpress.com I hope you enjoy reading through my daily waka.
I also have another blog "Stop the Stigma" where I may stand on my soapbox now and then and hope it will become a place to drop in and share or comment on issues important to you. In that vein this could be a great way to learn from each other.

Ah yes … the first warmth of spring … and love blossoms!

HA! I feel so silly for having posted this for when I got out n at 10pm tonight and I shrieked! OH NO…SNOW is a 4 letter word…could not find the sidewalk, my short cut…well, forget looking for footprints to stay on track and NOT slip into 3 feet of snow. That was my day. I have written a more appropriate comeback to that freestyle…but at least I did not freeze…just shuffled slower.

Now now … in the “here and now” then … the day promised spring. And I’m so glad you didn’t freeze … I can’t imagine what it can be like being out at 10pm in a snow storm where you can’t find the sidewalk! Yikes a shiver went up and down my spine!

You are so right…I was more scared on my shortcut…no longer a trace. If you get off the trail you sink in lots of snow. Only sunk once:) and I’m tall 😀

You caught me off guard. With all that greyness and debris, I wasn’t expecting love in the end!

I agree with Magical Mystery Teacher – it’s what makes this work so well, the drab greyness but love in the air. Makes for a more powerful piece, really does. The contrast is great

Thank you! sometimes you just don’t have to sugar coat anything. Yesterday it was the ambiance that made me feel good…the grey means no snow!! well, until that night of course but one must live in the moment as Georgia reassures me:)

PS Awfully grey here in Finland, and has been dangerously icy

It is pretty icy tonight and was last night with that sudden snow fall I wrote about in my next post. But I am hopeful…the melting in the day, the freezing in the night I think is good for our maple trees…yum!

Sorry your spring was so short lived. At least it showed you it was possible!

It has been mild the past 3 days…cannot complain…soon I will be whining about the mud I have to drudge through my short cut.
