carpet of colours Troiku ~ Haiga

coloured leaves beauty

crunch echoes
blanket of leaves on lawns
lift spirits

leaves steps

crunch echoes
autumn melody
happy refrain

lawn covered with leaves

blanket of leaves on lawns
add lively colours, before
deep freeze

blue skies

lift spirits
brilliant blue skies
clouds forming smiles

I read this with relish, enjoying the pictures that accompanied it. I always love your work, and look out for it. Here even though it is getting into summer, we have leaves crunching on the floor too, but alas it is caused by the drought conditions we find ourselves slipping into. Many places a cross Southern Africa have water restrictions, and in Cape Town, we are about to get them as well. Thanks for blogging this beautiful series, best wishes and blessings, Charles.

Oh my, Charles, what a lovely comment and feedback about my work. I truly enjoy autumn especially when it is warm like we have enjoyed this year. I AM sorry, however to read about the drought in Cape Town…we are so not in touch with nature’s challenges all over the world.

Pleasure, and Yes i think the weather is changing, we have had rains on the wrong wind, and had temperatures into the 40c’s, both of which are unheard of here.

Really!? We have 40C only if you factor in the humidex but 30 to 35 is the highest.

Yes with us it is more usual to have temperature around 25 to 30C, but last year and this year the temperature seems to have increased dramatically. We normally only have these type of temperature in the desert and semi desert regions to the north of here. Thanks for all the likes on my blog, best wishes and blessings, Charles.

I don’t travel much either, but have just moved back home to Cape Town from Johannesburg. 🙂

Thanks, it is going well, but tend to set off the alarm, as I have never lived in a house with an alarm before, and forget that it is on, and walk out to look at the garden, and start the thing wailing. Best wishes and blessings, Charles.

Well now setting off those alarms would certainly increase anyone’s pulse! I would have a difficult time too but I think those “close calls” would probably set me straight real fast:)

Yes we are learning fast, also strangely downsizing, despite the fact that this house and property is far bigger. i think we are in the midst of changing attitude, our current thought is do we actually need all this stuff, if not give to charity!

Ah yes, as I age, I keep decluttering. My son asked me a few summers ago if I was dying because I kept giving him things…nope, not dying, just learning to live better.

I agree with @7128788elf. The presentation is beautiful and the I can hear the leaves crunching while I reads this, see the colors and the clouds. My spirit is uplifted 🙂
