A little bit about moi:
I am a mom, a nana, a sister, a woman, a friend, a human being…a youth counsellor, Family Life Educator.
I have been working in the helping profession for over 25 years and volunteered in various capacities from youths to seniors.
Tournesol is my nom de plume for haiku and other Japanese form poetry here at Tournesoldansunjardin https://cheryllynnroberts.wordpress.com I hope you enjoy reading through my daily waka.
I also have another blog "Stop the Stigma" where I may stand on my soapbox now and then and hope it will become a place to drop in and share or comment on issues important to you. In that vein this could be a great way to learn from each other.

I like the contrast between the image of a bird taking flight and the poem, whose speaker is imprisoned. Very cool juxtaposition 🙂

very true 😉 Did you see the Matrix? I ask because your comment mirrors the premise of that film.

that is one of its central points. Everything falls out from that of freeing your mind.

Will check it out…it is not on Netflix but I am pretty sure my son must have it. He is a movie buff.

If you like action movies, you’ll love it. The sequels weren’t so great taken as a whole though each of the sequels had moments that were truly cinematic gems.

I just finished watching on Neflix, 24…the entire 8 episodes…not my usual style but really enjoyed it…had to close my eyes many times with the violence. I really like Kieffer Sutherland.

I’ve not watched much of that series. I’m not a tv watcher but it’s on my to watch list for when I need a break from writing/working 🙂

Wow! stunningly well written – absolutely moving – captured an essence of flight – metaphorically and literally – really well done Cheryl-Lynn! thanks so much for sharing your thoughts in the challenge!
