Gazing out the window
willing the rain to stop
to go out and play.

Heavy downpour
quenching relentless soil,
freshening June air.

Pink is bright
it seems to smile
catch the light
and all the while
dispels vigour
it seems to me
although I’m blue
all the way through
and lots of friends
do love their pink
so here I wink
an ode for them
who love to sink
in love and joy
with brilliant pink.

shades of heaven
clouds shy away.

ciel terne sanglote
temps triste, déchirant
d’espoir sue
sous l’abri de ma douce couette
dormir pour fuir les chagrins.
dull grey sky weeps
sad times shedding tears
wilting despair
wrapped under cosy duvet
fleeing chagrins in my sleep.

Missing you tonight
wishing I were still a babe
nursing at your breast.
Life was so simple
not a worry filled my head
bliss was just ‘being’.
Innocent infants
Bulbs awaiting spring to bud
Life embarks anew.
