Longing (haiku)

wistfully
stirring her cup of tea,
milk curdles
~
weeping salty tears,
pillow case no longer
carries his scent

or

weeping
on a pillow case,
scents lost

  1. Losing the scent in the pillowcase — really hit me in the gut. Powerful memories … powerful emotions ….

      1. He sounds *much* more interesting than those knights in shining white armor.

I am very sorry — yes, it’s been a year — but still, I am sorry.

  2. The first haiku so well-composed. Really art, and the second grows on one as a reader – very feminine haiku, well-written, and shows me how scents are so important for a woman. I noticed that before – endearing.

    1. I like the first one best too. I write like a crazed person at my break at work…but the second is unpolished but was so important for me to share that moment; what do you think of:

      weeping,
      lost scents of
      a pillow case

      1. You write like a crazed person? Nothing crazy about the longings expressed in these little gems…
