in a crib of straw
on a cold winter`s night
a king is born

on a cold winter`s night
three men bearing gifts
babe in a straw bed

a king is born
stars streaming in the sky
angels chant

  1. The musical that Chaitanya wrote and directed last year was about the three wise men. I hope you can see that play sometime.

      1. Sreejit has written about the plays in the past. You’ve seen pictures on his blog although not excerpts. Oh yes, and I wrote about the plays in the post I did on Chaitanya’s birthday. That even had some of the music. That is probably what you are remembering!

Yes it is so nice to be with my children here. I’ve written lots of posts about my experiences on this visit that I think you will enjoy once you are ready to read blog posts again. I’m so glad you are doing so much writing about your mom. What a great healing tool blogging is.

    1. Thanks…straw can also be kigo word for summer to me when I think of straw hats, sandals, mats to lie on the beach…also bales of hay…so I had to rewrite this bed of straw after writing Nature’s art…I had been holding on to that photo hoping to write a haiku since last summer:)
