    1. it is not a colour I like to wear but love to look at …nature offers such beauty in orange, autumn colours, pumpkins, sunsets:) Thanks Blue, glad you like this too:)

      1. Well, I really don’t like orange at all–so that’s why I was especially warmed and appreciative of what you did with it! Sometimes it takes looking at things with someone else’s eyes!

  1. Great pun in “zest for life” — and the bleeding orange sun is so interesting. I feel that fascination with the sinking / setting sun too. 🙂

    1. Thanks, Paloma, I am a bit obsessed with sunsets and in the spring I will finally be able to get back on the roof to take photos on my break…in the meantime I have to find some places since I am no longer with a vehicle. Another thing to put on my To Do list.

      1. You’ll find the perfect spot, I know it 🙂
Weren’t the November sunsets awesome? The best sunsets of the year, imho.

    2. The thing about haiku and renga when you keep playing with words, so many others come to mind…okay, I have to start taking those lessons with Jane’s book…I thought there was also a Kindle copy…I just bought a Kindle and a month ago a new Kobo to replace the one I smashed.

      1. Hmmm….. not sure about the Kindle copy, but I do know there are online programs to convert PDF to ePub and other formats. Most kindles will open PDF but occasionally the Kindle will mess up the formatting a bit.

  2. Love the these haiku – the simplicity of the last one made we want to eat an organge but, alas, I am allergic to them. 🙂

      1. Yes – I have a strange allergy to citrus. I can sometimes have small amounts but a whole orange or lime juice causes my tongue to get little white blisters that really hurt.

      2. I drink mostly water and really enjoy sparkling mineral water. I’m a coffee and tea addict though 🙂

    1. The moment I saw the prompt I had only one word and vision in my mind “bleed” and that photo I remembered taking. And “zest” when imagining that big California orange I had left saving it for the zest to make a pie.

  3. You do wonders with the Orange, Cheryl. 🙂
The first set is elegant, my vote goes to the simple ‘Orange Zest.’

  4. And a wonderful New Year to you and yours.

I did manage to capture a beautiful sunset in the Florida Keys while we were there.
I might just make a poster out of it and hang it in my home.

On the way to the airport last week the sunset was just spectacular.
The angle of the sun had the clouds in the sky various shades of neon pinks.

I wonder if they get the name for a blood orange from such a sunset 🙂
