pure love (haiku)

CARPE DIEM HAIKU KAI, Haiku 1 Minute

Purity made me think of Robert Munsch’s book “I love you Forever” which is a classic. You can read up more here and click on the sound and Munsch narrates his book…we never outgrow this book.

“I’ll love you forever,
I’ll like you for always,
as long as I’m living
my baby you’ll be.”

  4. What a beautiful haiku. That feeling of love you feel as a mother when you seen your baby for the first time – yes, it is totally pure. Later of course it becomes more complex – cholicky baby, tired mum, bills to pay, nappies to wash etc. Yet that first moment – it is utterly pure. Thanks for reminding me.

    1. Haha, I seem to repeat what my mom said, I had perfect babies made for me…they never got up early and were quiet in the morning. My son did have colic for the first 2 months and that made me feel sad and guilty wondering if I’d eaten something to hurt him since I was breastfeeding. I think our loves grows stronger over time and we don’t notice it. You, Suzanne, are a testament to that love that grows over huge boundaries:)

    1. I did not realize he is from Ontario and he wrote this for his two cildren who died at birth. His website is awesome as you can hear him narrate all his books. I love this book too and used to read it to my grandson.
