first snowfall (troiku)

Inspired by Ese’s haiku at CDHK
inevitable
the dance of a falling leaf
with a snowflake

***************

first snowfall
finally
sorrows veiled

first snowfall
leaves,
grief to rest

finally
lifts weight of shadows
balance restored

veiled sorrows
giddiness of snowflakes
pretence of joy

    1. Thanks so much, Melinda. I’m pleased you enjoyed it. That photo was taken exactly one month and a day go on our first snow…it accumulated more the next day but I like the show of leaves and snow there.

      4. I bet it wasn’t! It was down to 0 this morning. I think if it keeps up and we start getting humidity, we’ll be having ice patches here in a bit .. and maybe snow as well.

      5. Here too .. yesterday it was 1° in the morning and 15° in the afternoon although cloudy then the wind came up in the night and this morning it was up to 4° with intensive sunshine – we’ll be up in our teens today as well.
