humility (senyru + cherita)

(senryu)

wrapped
in naked humbleness
confesses her sins

(A Cherita)

making the sign of the cross

she leaves the confessional head down,
hands clasped together in prayer

kneeling before the Virgin Mary
giving thanks for  absolution of her sins
shivering at her nakedness, she prays

    1. Yes I thought I had discovered it through Celestine recently but realize Georgia introduced us to this 2 years ago at MindLoveMisverysMenagerie as I found some I had written in 2015. It is a nice form, like a haiku and brief haibun (if I may compare) telling a story.
