Can’t wait ‘til I see you!

Rushing and shoveling and shopping too

will I ever get there in time for you?

I’m counting the days, the nights too

can’t wait ‘til Christmas Eve when I’ll see you.

I’m cleaning, sorting and dusting too

Want my home to look nice for all of you

I’ll make Grand-Maman’s dressing that tastes so fine

and also candied yams prepared with you in mind.

If ever you try to make the same some day

remember I have a secret that comes to play

it may seem a mystery for you anyway

it’s simple really,  I have to say

just whisper some loving over your food and see

it will turn any cooking into a delicacy.

Love,

Mom

Nana

Fun at Work (Tanka)

such festive staging
greets me; I smiled and entered
joy fills my spirit.
work will be fun today
youths will truly hear my smile.

I had been away four days from work. Sundays are not always easy to come to work when family and friends are off, but today was such a beautiful sunny day, it made the drive so much easier. The bow wrapped on this gorgeous day was walking through the door at the counselling centre to see Christmas decorations already set up. This sure helps to digest Sunday working for sure. Merci mes collègues…I do think Julie P. may have had a hand at this…hmmm:)

What if the sky were multicoloured?

Mile End, Montréal, Métro Laurier

Guess what?

I saw a miracle

an outright real spectacle!

It rained all day

and on my way

from work today

I saw a friggin  miracle!

Redundant as that is

bear with me please.

An hour before sunset

of course we couldn’t set

eyes on that much

with clouds hiding the sun,

it rained and rained

and suddenly

appeared …

A…..

Rainbow in all its arc-like glory

and then believe it or not, sorry,

but it was just so darn spectacular

a second rainbow set beside

in blissful harmony

for minutes really not too long

for moments later amongst the throng

of onlookers near me

they vanished suddenly

but oh, so blissfully

I relish that memory

and won’t forget that sight

as I recall all this tonight.

P.S. the skies were still more pink

than other colours, so what d’ya think?

What if skies were pink?

What would you think

if skies had hues

of shades of pink?

…and hues of gold
and grey that wink.

I just might miss

those shades of blue

Lest not forget

drops of honey too!

20130809_204614

Those lovely summer sunsets

that exhibit mottled sets

of different shades and lovely hues

some greys that take the place of blues.

I’m still in love with blue

you see, I tend to sway

with tints of  day

my eyes display

shades  grey and blue

just like the skies that bid adieu.

Oh!

that must be why

I stay up late

to see the sky

turn into night.

What would you think?

What would you think
if skies had hues
of shades of pink?

…and hues of gold
and grey that wink.

I just might miss
those shades of blue
lest not forget
drops of honey too!

Those lovely summer sunsets
 that exhibit mottled sets
of different shades and lovely hues
some greys that take the place of blues.

And as the sun bids it’s farewell
we see the blues come back to life
and marry pink to make its wife
with just a hint of Honeywell.

I’m still in love with blue
you see, I tend to sway
with tints of day
my eyes display
shades grey and blue
just like the skies that bid adieu.

Oh!
 that must be why
I stay up late
to see the sky
turn into night.

Update on Street Art

Photo 1 -This was not for the graffiti but really for the lush greenery on this building about 5 blocks from my work.

Photo 2 – This is on a warehouse on a building on de rue de Gaspé like the following one.

Photo 3 – Above is one of many graffitis that were created during the night this passed summer on de Gaspé near Fairmont where I work.

Photo 4 – This is a painting that was surely commissioned on the side of a restaurant on St-Viateur near avenue du Parc; it is the background I chose for my website Stop the Stigma.  Isn`t it magnificient?

Photo 5 – I took several shots of this one; I have been admiring it for months when waiting at the red light on the corner of St Laurent and avenue du Pin;  Well, one day I got fed up and walked down St Laurent and took many photos of street art. There were so many, the sun was setting and I have to return another day.

This photo is the background of this website I just added this.  I may add other street art as backgrounds from time to time.  I just love the personality the artist gave this lovely old lady. Don`t you?

She had pink hair

Sept 26th spiritual aha moments and blue skies 013

On my way to work today
I listened to the music play
gazing here, admiring there,
reflecting shades from trees
sky looked aquamarine.
Got to parc Alphonse Lépine
saw a girl seated on a bench
so tranquil, calm and serene
admiring nature and listenin’
to music she had on her mp-3.
Hair beholdin’ deep pink hues
looked like it been dipped in fruits
like Pomegranate or raspberry,
looked funky, cool and trendy.
Unusual, yes, but her calm nature
pulled it off quite, nearly elegant!
seemed tall and slim of stature
when I got closer, she grinned.
I asked her if I could take
a photo of her, which just might
inspire me to write.

october-1st-and-september-29th-112
Her eyes widened, impressed,
flattered , she sat up straight
so she could properly partake
“click” the snapshot did take.
That sure made my day
I really have to say
I walked to work with a goofy smile
I had not really felt
like this in quite a while.
People who are kind and considerate
to a perfect stranger like me in a park,
warm my heart that the city didn’t rob
their genuine kindness away,
or harden them in any way.
Being a small town gal like me
I thrive on human kindness, Don’t you?
This now, restores my faith in humanity.

Time flies away

park muse

It seems like yesterday

‘twas only Sunday

and here we are

already Wednesday

Time flies away!

And such summery

glorious balmy days!

if only it could pass

slower and relaxed

I’d sit in the park

with pen in hand

and let my muse

soak up the land.

Such beauty

takes my breath away!

It seems like yesterday

‘twas only Sunday

and here we are

already Wednesday

time just flew away!

Autumn Leaves

Autumn leaves
that flock the trees
parks are mixed
with season’s pics.

Oh dear I’ll soon be late
but this just, cannot wait
Click click,  the yellow leaves
Change is here, I do believe.
I look above, the firmament hue
which forms a splindid backdrop
provides an artist his canvas – blue
Mother nature smiles at her milieu.

Autumn leaves
that flock the trees
parks are mixed
with season`s pics.

Split seconds of lucidity makes my heart skip with joy

me in Shawbridge CreekI need to visit Mom today. I need to feel or remember that enormous love and bond we have…had. I never question being loved when I am with Mom…EVER! Her spirit, her soul, her heart is somewhere in her body…her mind has been invaded as well, poor mom no longer has to battle Worry and Insomnia…finally she is at peace but her demon has robbed me of her enchanting presence…how I miss her quirky remarks, her contagious laugh and her soothing arms around me.

I will visit her today…I need to drift off into my imagination…just hold her hand…she still kisses my hand and2013-02-03 02.16.38 my face if I approach her close enough and whisper, “Hi Mum”…she sometimes holds her breath for a split second and she kisses me and holds my hand tightly…then I know for a split second she escaped the clutches of her own demon…Dementia…and my heart skips with joy!
