Daily Moments May 21 2016 painful preludes (Troiku)

awakening
galloping above carelessly
hammers to my head

awakening
run with reckless abandon
innocent children

galloping above carelessly
but, if only –
it was outside

hammers to my head
pounding tauntingly
tools I now despise

if only
indoor sounds sang
like starlings

Latifa Prayer, line 2 “I desire”

Latifa Prayer, line 2 “I desire”

Our host has written:

silent prayer
reaches for heaven
sunflowers bloom

Desires of youths is to be loved and accepted, somehow to feel they fit in. One grows into human wants and desires and always co-existing with being loved. And yet, to love and give love is so easy…to hold, to embrace either a friend, a child or a lover but without that affection from a lover, I am happier alone. I can fulfill this desire by giving in so many ways…embracing a crying youth on the phone or a good friend.

My desire to see my children happy and content is still strong although I know it is out of my control but still…and to some day have a two books published of my short stories and poetry to give to my children so they have something of me…speaking from my heart, my soul and in my voice.

morning dawn
rousing singing sparrows
bid the muse goodnight
time to rest a spell before
the sun reaches high noon

I did write until dawn this morning so this shall be my Daily Moments as well.

Daily Moments – silken blessings (troibun)

She saw an ant by the living room window…a sure sign spring is nearing summer. The heat is already getting to her with the ragweed gnawing at her sinuses. Her chest is heavy although she blames the pollution and the pollen of the old oak tree and ragweed.  Yes, that’s it, dust and pollution.

In July she will be house and pet sitting for a week in Rougemont, a small village known for its apple orchards. In the back yard there are very berry bushes, three apple trees, lilacs, rose bushes and a long yard for Mia and Heidi to run. The end of the yard is lined with various trees that give an illusion of being in the country by the forest. She likes to sit there at mid-day in the shade and cool breeze the leaves offer her. The girls have their spot in the shade after they’ve had their time to play tag and play wrestle. They are sisters but fraternal twins. Mia is a Golden mix and Heidi is a German Shepherd mix. And she, is their Nana.

walking home at night
escorted like a lover
the shadow follows

yet never quite alone
street lights form shapes
clinging to her

he winks at her
glowing in the sky

Daily Moments ~ Mother’s Day (haibun)

Flowers and scented creams, bubble bath and loving company …to start with! Almost four hours setting up her elliptical exerciser, she has set in front of her patio window and then off to a Brazilian restaurant where meats are served on a stick …sirloin, lamb, bacon turkey, pork loin, chicken, filet mignon and roast beef…over and over and over they serve and just around dessert time… warm pineapple with brown sugar and cinnamon on a stick two dancers perform on each floor inviting patrons to join them.
