spilling into dark waters,
release her despair
seeking refuge
leans over the footbridge,
faith holds her back

beware! tongues of fame
slyly twist words of passion
giving glory to war
~~~
folks who wag their tongues
selfishly seeking fame
feed war among friends
gossiping rooks
seeking attention and fame
wage wars of feathers
I struggled with this one and am just putting this out there. Something to work on.
by soft candlelight
opens his heart with passion,
pens with feathered quill
or
by dancing flame
unleashes his love for her,
with feathered quill
or
under dim light
opens his vulnerable heart,
pens with feathered quill
or
under candlelight
declares unfettered love
with feathered quill
a lovely haiku and for those who are interested in writing more, the writer had even noted the steps for a Classical Haiku.
Done for Carpe Diem. We are to:
Describe a moment as short as the sound of a pebble thrown into water;
2. use 5-7-5 syllables;
3. Use a kigo (or seasonword);
4. Use a kireji (or cuttingword);
5. Sometimes a deeper spiritual or Zen-Buddhistic meaning;
6. First and third line are interchangeable.
This is a re-work of a haiku from my archives. 🙂
A very happy birthday to you dear Tournesol and may you find many lovely rainbows!
Walking home after school in spring, she drags her feet singing “Cherish” under her breath. The sun was still shining but a few clouds started moving overhead slowly. She hardly noticed droplets on her chin. Looking up she smiles, knowing somewhere there will be a rainbow.
pushing
race to the métro
extend my cup
pushing
shoving past me
never see me
race to the métro
tripping over tired feet
cup tips over
extend my cup
whispering my mantra,
clink of a coin
