A little bit about moi:
I am a mom, a nana, a sister, a woman, a friend, a human being…a youth counsellor, Family Life Educator.
I have been working in the helping profession for over 25 years and volunteered in various capacities from youths to seniors.
Tournesol is my nom de plume for haiku and other Japanese form poetry here at Tournesoldansunjardin https://cheryllynnroberts.wordpress.com I hope you enjoy reading through my daily waka.
I also have another blog "Stop the Stigma" where I may stand on my soapbox now and then and hope it will become a place to drop in and share or comment on issues important to you. In that vein this could be a great way to learn from each other.

I can relate to this very much …. as father of four children and a bunch of grandchildren, I love to gaze at the stars and point them to the constellations and other bright stars …. it’s great.

Ah yes, I can see you explaining so well with much patience too! You are always so patient and kind as a mentor, I can only imagine as a papa or Grandpapa:)

I have to confess that it’s difficult for me to pick out the constellations!

Well now, I have to admit, more pleasant is the feat deciphering Little Bear when you have a friend by your side.

The planets Venus and Jupiter are bright and moving closer in our June sky this year. Not stars, I know, but…my father would get out his telescope and we’d take turns looking at the moon!

Oh but it is just as exciting!!! and even moreso in August…those were times I shared with my husband lying on the grass until dawn pointing to the shooting stars of august and pleiades
