A little bit about moi:
I am a mom, a nana, a sister, a woman, a friend, a human being…a youth counsellor, Family Life Educator.
I have been working in the helping profession for over 25 years and volunteered in various capacities from youths to seniors.
Tournesol is my nom de plume for haiku and other Japanese form poetry here at Tournesoldansunjardin https://cheryllynnroberts.wordpress.com I hope you enjoy reading through my daily waka.
I also have another blog "Stop the Stigma" where I may stand on my soapbox now and then and hope it will become a place to drop in and share or comment on issues important to you. In that vein this could be a great way to learn from each other.

even robins sing
through the window
the old man snores
moonlight across old man’s face
fiddles with his autumn dreams

Oh I love that:) It is only recently I realized robins sang at night. When I walk home from work there is a group of trees I pass at the shopping mall in front of my apartment and I was surprised to hear birds chirping…yep, robins.

Up to last weekend birds were still making a ruckus here. Don’t know if they were Robins but among them was a bright yellow baby parrot. I couldn’t believe it! Ah, I tell you this haiku – ing has ruined me, have me paying attention to the birds, bees. I don’t even step on an ant anymore, I watch it crawling round my finger for goodness sake. I LOVE it.::))

Ah lovely, Janice!! I took photos of those coloured leaves…it’s finally starting! I must rent a car this coming weekend for our Thanksgiving weekend. I am hosting Sunday but hope to get out in the country at least on Friday…well, let`s say, whichever day is sunny.
