A little bit about moi:
I am a mom, a nana, a sister, a woman, a friend, a human being…a youth counsellor, Family Life Educator.
I have been working in the helping profession for over 25 years and volunteered in various capacities from youths to seniors.
Tournesol is my nom de plume for haiku and other Japanese form poetry here at Tournesoldansunjardin https://cheryllynnroberts.wordpress.com I hope you enjoy reading through my daily waka.
I also have another blog "Stop the Stigma" where I may stand on my soapbox now and then and hope it will become a place to drop in and share or comment on issues important to you. In that vein this could be a great way to learn from each other.

Does the river freeze in the winter?

Yep…there is ice fishing on lakes and ponds and some rivers. I learned to skate on the river behind my house. But winters are not the way they were with global warming, it is unpredictable. I would NOT go on rivers or lakes anymore.

Unbelievable… It was so hot here today and the hills are completely brown.. Like it’s late October… This isn’t going to be good:( It will be all about water.

Hi, I came here via another poetry blog. Just wanted to tell you this was a beautiful poem. Sometimes, nature has a way of soothing us that words cannot. ❤

Thank you kindly for commenting and for following my blog. I am truly honoured….the water does it mostly for me but at work we are fortunate to be allowed to step on our rooftop and I often see beautiful sunsets. Nature truly is soothing. Cheryl-Lynn
