A little bit about moi:
I am a mom, a nana, a sister, a woman, a friend, a human being…a youth counsellor, Family Life Educator.
I have been working in the helping profession for over 25 years and volunteered in various capacities from youths to seniors.
Tournesol is my nom de plume for haiku and other Japanese form poetry here at Tournesoldansunjardin https://cheryllynnroberts.wordpress.com I hope you enjoy reading through my daily waka.
I also have another blog "Stop the Stigma" where I may stand on my soapbox now and then and hope it will become a place to drop in and share or comment on issues important to you. In that vein this could be a great way to learn from each other.

aw that’s such a beautiful Haibun. It almost makes me want winter to start. Almost but I am not ready for the cold yet.

wow. Where do you live that it gets that cold? (If I may ask) I feel bad complaining about winter when the coldest it gets is -8 F not counting the wind chill

Well now the temps go down to minus -35C but with the windchill -40 I live in Québec but it gets even colder in Manitoba, so I should really not complain.

Ah so you’re my neighbor to the north! One of these days I’m going to get on the train to Quebec. It leaves from a station 4 miles from my apartment. One of these days.

Certainly not for food. My daughter goes every month for the big grocery to feed her family of 5. I go with her for holiday (food) shopping.

Yes, they are fond memories…at least I didn’t wear mascara at that age, so the running eyes did not create a mess 😉
